Delhi Police held a press conference on this matter on Monday afternoon. In which it was told that the name of the person who was murdered is Anjan Das, who lived in Trilokpuri. The name of the woman accused of murder is Poonam, she is Anjan’s second wife. The son’s name is Deepak, who is Anjan’s step son. Mother and son have been arrested.

1. Searching started during patrolling
   On 5th June Delhi Police was patrolling in Pandav Nagar. During this, the patrolling team informed the police station about the smell coming from the bushes. On searching around, the team found pieces of human dead body in a bag.

   The body parts were badly decomposed and due to this their identification became difficult. The investigating officer went to the nearby police stations to inquire whether anyone was missing. Records were also checked in police stations in UP and neighboring states.
2. Anjan Das was missing, wife did not register missing
   During this, the news of Anjan Das missing for 5-6 months was received. It is learned that he lived with Poonam and Deepak in Trilokpuri. Both of them had not even reported the disappearance of Anjan anywhere.
3. Anjan was suspected of keeping an evil eye on the daughter-in-law
   On questioning Poonam and Deepak, both of them told the whole story and reason for the murder. Poonam suspected that Anjan keeps an evil eye on son Deepak’s wife and one of his divorced daughters. This daughter was living with Poonam only.
4. Poonam was not Anjan’s wife
   Poonam told that she was married at a very young age to Sukhdev Tiwari in Bihar. He came to Delhi and Poonam also came in search of him. But Sukhdev was not found, after that she started living with a person named Kallu. She had 3 children from Kallu. Kallu died due to liver failure.
5. Conspiracy hatched on suspicion, mixed sleeping pills in alcohol
   Thereafter, Poonam moved in with lift operator Anjan. Suspecting bad intentions, Poonam and Deepak conspired to murder in March-April. On May 30, both of them made Anjan drink alcohol. In which sleeping pills were found. After fainting, Anjan was stabbed to death on several parts of his throat and body.
6. The dead body was allowed to lie in the house overnight
   After the murder, both of them left the dead body there for the whole night. Next day cleaned the blood from the house. Then cut the dead body into 10 pieces. Kept them in the fridge. Poonam and Deepak used to fill these pieces in bags every night and go to Pandav Nagar and surrounding areas to throw them. This process went on for 8-10 days.
7. Police will also get DNA test done on Anjan’s body
   After the murder, when the pieces were kept in the fridge, the house was painted to suppress the smell. Anjan’s head was buried by making a pit. Police told that Anjan’s family members live in Bihar. A police team will be sent there to get Anjan’s DNA test done.
8. Inquiry came in Shraddha murder case Crime Branch’s Special CP Ravindra Yadav told that when this matter came up in the Shraddha murder case, we told that after seeing the body parts, the doctor who did the postmortem had said that it is the body of a man, so there is no connection with the Shraddha murder. .
